There were a series of riots at several Black Flag shows just prior to this gig in late 1980. This particular show was under much scrutinization by the L.A.P.D. and the press. Everyone, including the punks, was sure this show would erupt into another full-scale riot betwwen punks and cops. For some reason, nothing happened during or after this one and Black Flag must have been kind of relieved, cuz if another riot would have broke out, they would have for sure been banned from just about everywhere for a long time.
